Hunting Patrol

Wolfclaw and Lionpaw waited for the others

Harepaw, Cloudpaw and Mothheart followed.

Wolfclaw smiled and smelled a fresh juicy rabbit

Mothheart opened his mouth and drank in the comforting scent of the forest. Quickly he launched at a bush and came out with two voles. He buried them and flicked his tail towards Harepaw and Cloudpaw to do the same.

They both nodded and drank in the scent of prey. They darted two different ways and Harepaw came back with a huge fat squirrel and Cloudpaw came back with three chipmunks.

Wolfclaw glared at the ground, and as sleek as shadows, he leaped through the air and landed on top of five rabbits hiding by each-other, he took their life quickly and nodded to Lionpaw.
Lionpaw glared at the ground, and will the same sleek as Wolfclaw, he launched through the air and landed on a band of squirrels.
They buried their kill.

Harepaw and Cloudpaw looked into a gnarled oak where they smelt the same smell. Harepaw, i smell someone who we know. Cloudpaw purred.

Sunstar leapt out of the tree and landed on Wolfclaw. Opps! Sorry Wolfclaw! She purred getting off.

Whats are you doing here Sunstar? Mothheart asked.

Sunstar nodded. Just thought id spend a little time with the apprentices and give you a break. Sunstar said.

Mothheart nodded his thanks and headed back to camp.

Wolfclaw was about to snap but he held his tongue it is fine he said. Wolfclaw got up Hello Sunstar. he purred.

Lionpaw yawned

Sunstar purred, showing her thanks for not snapping at her. She closed her eyes and the world turned into a picture in her mind. Fast as lightning she opened her eyes, jumped into six trees and came back with seven squirrels, one being a baby.

Wolfclaw and Lionpaw were bewildered

Sunstar licked her paw and gently wiped it down her two ears. Practice my boys, practice. Sunstar purred.
